Updated with every project we deliver

The Events & Exhibitions Guide

Everything a client asks before requesting a quote: what participation costs, how much time it needs, what an organiser will refuse, and how to tell a builder from a broker. Written from our workshop and from site, not from reading the internet.

Why we write this guide

Because the first question is always price

And almost nobody answers it plainly. We explain the factors that actually move the number, so you can read any quote, from any company, with open eyes.

Because the same mistakes repeat

The same six every season: late approval, measuring from a plan, ignoring the build window. Writing them down saves someone else what they cost the last exhibitor.

Because the rules keep changing

Every show, mall and industrial site has its own manual. We write what we actually deal with: heights, materials, insurance and access permits.

Because knowing comes before trusting

Someone who reads an honest answer about their project calls knowing what they want, which makes the first conversation shorter and sharper for both sides.

What you will find here

Costs and budgets

What sets the price of a stand or an event, and where items hide inside an "all-in price".

Timing and schedules

When to start, and how long production, shipping and installation actually take.

Rules and permits

What the organiser, the mall, the municipality and industrial sites require before anything enters.

Choosing a contractor

The questions that reveal who owns a workshop and who resells someone else's work.

Design that stops a visitor

The visitor path, the lighting, and the message that reads from the aisle in two seconds.

After the event

Reports, visitor data, and reusing the stand at the next show.

How to use this guide

Read it before you collect quotes

An hour of reading lets you compare quotes by their line items rather than their totals, and shows you what hides inside an "all-in price". Most people who overpay were not cheated; they simply did not know what to ask before signing.

Take your questions to the first meeting

Every article carries questions we suggest you ask any company, including us. The answers separate a firm that owns a workshop from one reselling someone else's work, and a team that has read your show manual from one that will read it on installation night.

Come back at each stage

Before booking the space, at design approval, before the build window, and after the event ends. Every stage holds a decision taken early whose result shows late, and the guide is ordered that way.

Who this guide is for

The marketing manager

The person holding the budget and answering for the result afterwards. Here they find what justifies every line in a quote, and how to measure the show in numbers rather than impressions.

The brand owner

Exhibiting for the first time, unsure of the difference between a custom stand and an upgraded shell scheme. Here are the options with their cost and their timing, before sitting with any company.

The procurement lead

Comparing three quotes whose line items do not match. Here is how to make them comparable, and which items to insist on before signing rather than after.

The event organiser

Running the date, the venue and the suppliers. Here are build windows, permits and the real sequence of work, for a schedule built on facts rather than optimism.

Questions about the guide itself

Who writes these articles?

The delivery team: project managers, designers and site supervisors at The Touch. What you read came out of projects actually built in our workshop and installed on client sites, not from summarising other articles.

Are the numbers accurate?

They are realistic ranges from delivered projects, not fixed prices. Any project moves with area, materials, city and season, which is why we explain the factors that drive the number instead of quoting one figure nobody should believe.

Is it useful if we never work together?

Yes, deliberately. Rules, timings and common mistakes are the same whichever company you choose, and we would rather you knew them now than discovered them on the show floor.

How often is it updated?

We add an article whenever a question keeps coming up in our calls, or a requirement changes at a show or mall we work in. Older articles are revised when the numbers or the rules move.

Can I suggest a topic?

Yes. Send your question on WhatsApp or through the contact page, and if more than one client asks it, it becomes an article.

Does the guide replace a quote?

No. It helps you read a quote properly and ask the right questions, but real pricing needs your project's size, date and venue. Send those and we come back within 24 hours.

Do you name your clients in the articles?

We name them where the client allows it, and describe the work without the name where a confidentiality agreement applies. We never claim work we did not deliver.

Which language is the guide in?

Arabic and English, with every article written in both. Pick your language at the top of the page and it stays with you as you browse.

A question you did not find answered here?

Send it to us. We answer project questions every day, and yours may become the next article in this guide.
